Pecan also known as a longevity fruit, is under the Carya Genus in the Juglandaceae Family. We call it “Pecan” or “Hickory”. It is one of top ten nuts in the world. The shape of pecans is long and oval, it can be divided into different classes according to its shape of the tip or the oval size: large, medium and small. Pecan is native to the United States and the northern Mexico, the flowering period is from April to May, and the harvesting period is from July to November. Pecan can be eaten in raw or fried, but also can be used for a variety of delicious desserts.
