Do you know Bacteria and Virus?
The Difference between Bacteria and Viruses:
- Bacteria are tiny microbes, it composites from a real cell. It has its self-absorption, respiration and reproduction abilities. Bacteria can exist alone in the surrounding environment, and live all around us.
- Virus does not form a full structure of a cell. Its size is measured in nanometers and much smaller than the size of a cell. Virus cannot reproduce by their own alone, only after entering the biological cell (including bacterial cells and human cells), it can parasite the host cell for cloning. Virus is only composed of nucleic acid and protein shell. Its genome may only contain one type of nucleic acid, or a ribonucleic acid (RNA) or a deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA).
Bacteria, viruses and human disease:
- Bacterial invasion may lead to a variety of inflammation, such as E. coli can cause urethritis, gastroenteritis; pneumococcus can cause pneumonia, otitis media; and Staphylococcus aureus can cause skin and soft tissue infections.
- Virus may cause a variety of human diseases, which have been identified, such as colds, flu, chicken pox and other common diseases, as well as smallpox, AIDS, hepatitis, SARS and avian influenza and other serious diseases. Viruses are one of the causes of cancer. The main viruses which associated with human cancers are HPV, hepatitis B virus, Epstein - Barr virus, these viruses can lead to cervical cancer, skin cancer and liver cancer, etc.
Treatment of Diseases caused by Bacteria and Viruses:
- For bacteria, humans have found a more effective way to kill it, that is to apply antibiotics. The most typical case is the discovery of penicillin in the early history. Penicillin can destroy the polysaccharides on the bacterial cell wall, and cause the surface of bacteria to be exposed. Such that bacteria will lose the protective effect and cannot survive.
- Modern medical science has no yet found the good way to kill the virus, so human can only rely on its own immune system to clean the virus. Virus is lethal to mankind. External part of the virus is a protein coat, antibiotics are not useful to kill them. Generally doctor will apply interferon which will interfere with the replication of the virus, or the destruction of the virus protein coat, and cause the virus not to increase the number, and then rely on human's own immune system to kill the virus. Once some viruses leave the host, their life can last for about three hours when attached to some objects, for about 3 to 6 hours in the air, and for up to 24 hours in the water, so please pay attention to personal hygiene and wash hands frequently.
Some scientific researches show that Ganoderma Lucidum products can increase the body's immune system and the endocrine system to effectively tackle the virus.
